We are looking for a Production & Batch Operations Engineer (L2) to ensure the operability, stability, and performance of solutions in RUN / OPEN environments.
This role is strongly focused on batch scheduling, production monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement, acting as Level 2 Support (N2) and working closely with application, project, and DevOps teams.
Key Responsibilities
RUN & Operability (MCO – L2)
Ensure operability of solutions in RUN / OPEN environments
Maintain CMDB updates, operational documentation, and follow-up on:
Obsolescence
Vulnerability management
Act as Level 2 Support (N2) for production issues
Scheduling & Monitoring
Define, plan, and execute batch jobs using Control-M
Monitor processing workflows in real time
Respond to incidents such as:
Abends
Dependency anomalies
SLA breaches
Daily Production Operations
Launch and monitor production processes in OPEN environments and Control-M
Perform incident recovery and batch restarts
Manage or coordinate interventions on system resources:
Disk space
Queues
Catalogs
Monitor file transfers and handle related incidents
Support & Continuous Improvement
Provide technical support to application teams
Optimize batch processing chains and reduce execution times
Participate in production releases and change management
Perform scheduled and on-call (HNO) interventions
Act as a Technical Integrator between projects and production
Support solution delivery in coordination with Project Managers / ScrumOps
Documentation & Reporting
Write and maintain operational procedures and runbooks
Keep documentation up to date
Produce availability and performance reports for batch processing
Required Skills & Experience
Solid experience in IT Production / Operations
Strong experience with batch scheduling tools, ideally Control-M
Experience working in RUN / OPEN environments
Good knowledge of incident, problem, and change management
Understanding of DevOps best practices:
Language Skills
French – B2 level (mandatory)
English – B2 level (mandatory)
Hybrid Work: 2/3x in the office in Lisbon
