We are creating an IT Delivery Center in Portugal — and we are looking for an IT Delivery Center Lead to build, operate and scale it, establishing it as a key site within Olympus' Global IT delivery model.
This is a high-impact leadership role with end-to-end accountability: from setting up the center and embedding global standards, to ensuring operational excellence, talent growth, and outstanding service delivery.
Your responsibilities
Build and scale the IT Delivery Center - lead the end-to-end setup of the centre, coordinating infrastructure, connectivity, security, onboarding, and business continuity in close collaboration with local corporate functions
Embed Global IT standards and culture - establish the Center as a key delivery site within Olympus Global IT, promoting global vision, strategy, values, and consistent ways of working while fostering a strong local culture
Own service delivery and operational excellence - take full accountability for service delivery outcomes, operational continuity, client satisfaction, and efficiency
Drive efficiency and cost optimization - manage the local budget, optimize operating costs, and ensure effective capacity and resource utilization aligned with demand and growth
Act as the local IT leader and business partner - serve as the primary on-site IT leadership contact for business stakeholders and Global IT teams, ensuring transparent communication, proactive stakeholder management, and swift escalation and resolution of critical service issues
Ensure security, compliance, and audit readiness - uphold security, data protection, and compliance with local laws and regulations (including GDPR), working closely with global Security and Compliance teams to maintain robust controls.
Manage vendors and partners - oversee vendor and partner relationships, contracts, SLAs, and performance to support reliable and scalable center operations
Lead programs and projects - drive Global IT initiatives locally, managing programs and projects end-to-end; from planning and execution to change management and adoption
Provide people leadership at scale - act as the on-site "dotted-line" people leader for ~35 IT professionals (with growth potential), partnering with HR and solid-line managers to hire, onboard, develop, and retain talent; provide structured performance input; coach leaders and teams; foster inclusion and well-being; and ensure adherence to HR processes and local requirements
Your qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience
Proven experience of establishing and scaling an IT delivery/shared-services center
Strong practical experience in delivering IT services in a distributed, outsourced IT delivery model with internal delivery centers and external MSPs providers
Progressive experience in a multinational, multidivisional technology environment
Minimum 5 years' experience in people management, within a regional/global IT organization
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
Willingness to travel as required across EMEA (mainly to Hamburg, Germany) for coordination, vendor management and stakeholder engagement
