As an IT Delivery Manager, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of ERP transformation projects across Vodafone. Working across local markets, global functions, and System Integrators, you'll bring structure, pace, and coordination to ensure successful delivery of complex, business-critical programmes.
This role sits at the heart of Vodafone's ERP delivery model — anchoring cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring the right governance is followed from start to finish.
Success means delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that meet business needs, enable simplification, and embed best practices into every phase of delivery — from design to deployment and transition to support.
What you'll do
You'll be responsible for orchestrating all aspects of delivery activity, ensuring teams are aligned and plans are progressing to schedule. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Own and manage the full delivery lifecycle of ERP project demands — from design sign-off through to go-live and handover to support;
2. Represent the ERP Delivery team in engagements with Group Functions, Local Markets, and System Integrators;
3. Deliver system and application changes within agreed timelines, scope, and cost;
4. Drive simplification during analysis and design phases, working closely with Product Managers;
5. Ensure all design documentation is completed, approved, and maintained in Solution Manager (SolMan);
6. Coordinate infrastructure readiness and track delivery of technical activities;
7. Lead testing across all phases — define scope, allocate business testers, monitor progress, and manage defect resolution;
8. Engage with the business to assess any role impacts for each demand;
9. Plan and oversee knowledge transfer from System Integrators to internal operations teams;
10. Ensure deployment readiness and manage CAB (Change Advisory Board) approval processes;
11. Support the transition to Business-as-Usual (BAU), enabling local IT teams to align with the ERP operating model;
12. Govern delivery across System Integrators, internal teams, and Vodafone markets as part of the EVO (Enterprise Value Optimisation) programme.
Who you are
13. BSc or MSc level degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or other relevant field for the role;
14. Experience and expertise of ERP systems;
15. Based on the area of involvement, S/4 Hana skills maybe requested on following modules: SAP S/4 Hana, FI, MM, P2P. These skills requirements are not mandatory but may allow a better understanding of the solution delivered;
16. 2 to 5 years experience in delivering ERP projects / in international environment;
17. Track record of successful service provider integration and delivery management in an international context serving multiple;
18. Ability to work in European country;
19. Ability to travel, based on the project demands content and dimension, some travels any be requested to Local Markets or to Vodafone Global services office in Newbury;
20. Working experience within one of the major ERP / IT systems integrators.
Leadership and teamwork
21. Confident in managing cross-functional teams across distributed, multicultural environments;
22. Clear understanding of delivery lifecycle, with the ability to apply best practice and drive System Integrators through it;
23. Experienced in leading complex SAP-based deliveries, including integration across data, test, infra, and deployment.
Knowledge and experience
24. Proven background in service provider and delivery management within global organisations;
25. Deep experience in SAP software integration, covering applications, data, testing, infrastructure, and deployment;
26. Comfortable working with structured governance, CAB processes, and post-go-live transition.
Communication
27. Clear communicator with the ability to balance priorities and manage stakeholder expectations;
28. Plan and lead structured meetings with clear agendas, actions, and follow-ups, ensuring consistent reporting on delivery progress to the IT Delivery and Release teams.
