Job Overview
The Senior Industrial Engineer and Resource Planner will play a crucial role in driving operational efficiency, workforce planning, KPI analysis, productivity initiatives, and equipment investments.
Key Responsibilities
* Industrial Engineering (IE)
* Develop and review workforce planning strategies for production personnel
* Administer indirect personnel, including management reporting
* Oversee the Target Cost Roadmap cycle for IE/RP, utilizing KPIs to analyze performance and identify opportunities for improvement:
o Equipment performance metrics (OEE, utilization rates, downtime)
o Material usage and consumption
o Layout and flow efficiency
o Throughput and productivity metrics
o Headcount and resource allocation
* Lead the Next Level of Productivity (NLoP) program, encompassing:
o Idea generation for productivity improvement with Engineering & Development teams
o Coordination of productivity initiatives with project managers to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery
o Contribution to the creation of equipment specifications
o Resource planning
o Calculate capacities of equipment and production lines
o Manage demands of the division
o Initiate productivity or value stream mapping projects (VSM) to enhance capacity or prepare investments in new equipment
o Prepare capital projects (CPs) to secure investment budgets for specific equipment
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* Strong collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, finance).
* A University degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Business, Engineering, or a similar field of study.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering / Resource Planning - preferably in automotive or industrial manufacturing.
* High competency in project management and knowledge in systems and methods for IE / Resource Planning.
* Willingness to travel to Germany for on-the-job training.
* Fluency in English (mandatory).
