You will be working directly with the Engineering team in the US. Manage Kubernetes-based environments(e.g. EKS), ensuring scalability, resilience, and efficient resource usage. Implement and evolve CI/CD pipelinesto support frequent, safe deployments across multiple services. Design, develop, and maintain MLOpsfor language models: Model training and evaluation pipelines Versioning, packaging, and deployment of models Monitoring performance and resource usage Own security, compliance & reliabilityaspects of the platform: Work within frameworks likeSOC 2and similar standards Implement best practices inIAM, secrets management, network security, and logging Support audits and continuous compliance automation where possible Monitor and optimize system performance, quickly identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements. Collaborate with backend and AI engineers to ensure systems aresecure, observable, and scalablefrom day one.Who We're Looking For Must-have qualifications 5+ yearsof professional experience inDevOps / Site Reliability / Platform Engineeringroles. Deep, hands-on experience withAWS(e.g., EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch). Solid experience withKubernetesin production (cluster operations, deployments, observability, scaling). Strong experience withInfrastructure as Code, ideallyTerraform. Experience designing and operatingCI/CD pipelines(GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar). Experience administering and operatingsecure network access solutions, including VPNs, private networking, and access controls for distributed teams. Proven experience withsecurity and compliance, preferably inSOC 2or other regulated environments (finance, healthcare, etc.). Strong understanding ofmonitoring, logging, and alerting(Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, CloudWatch, etc.). Experience withcompliance automation platformssuch asVanta(or similar tools like Drata/Secureframe) for control tracking, evidence collection, and continuous compliance monitoring. Experience in writing, maintaining, and evolvinginformation security policies, standards, and proceduresin collaboration with engineering and leadership. Strong involvement inowning and maintaining infrastructure, asset, and device inventories, including enforcement of device security controls and access policies. Professional proficiency in English(written and spoken). Strongcommunication and collaboration skillswith stakeholders that are remote and across different timezones. Ability and willingness to work2–3 days/week in the officein the Greater Faro / Loulé area.Nice-to-have Experience withMLOps : ML pipelines, model deployment, inference services, and related tooling. Exposure toPython-based systemsand microservices. Experience infinancial technology, market data, or other high-availability data systems. Experience withvulnerability scanning and security toolingsuch as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Wiz, Snyk, or similar platforms across cloud, infrastructure, and application layers. Background withcompliance automation(policy as code, audit trails, security scanners).
