Procurement Lead Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Lead to support our major data center development project. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring all materials, equipment, and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Procurement Lifecycle Management: Develop and execute procurement strategies tailored to the data center project.
* Supplier Selection and Onboarding: Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality and cost-efficient sourcing.
* Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable agreements while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
* Forecasting and Delivery Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to forecast material and equipment needs and ensure timely delivery.
* Risk Management: Manage procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and cost fluctuations.
* Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
* Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements:
* Experience: 5+ years in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing, preferably within construction, data centers, or large-scale industrial projects.
* Education: Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
* Skills: Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship management skills.
* Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with construction materials, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) procurement, and logistics coordination.
* Technical Proficiency: Experience with procurement software and ERP systems.
* Analytical Ability: Strong data analysis skills for cost management and forecasting.
* Communication: Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
* Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project needs and deadlines.
