Job Title: Supply Chain Operations Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee the efficient flow of goods, from receipt to shipping. This key role ensures customer delivery, production line supplies, logistics basics, visual management, equipment, human resources, productivity gains, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop performance objectives and manage necessary tools to achieve them, focusing on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (QCDP) metrics.
* Promote and track QCDP indicators, driving improvement in Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.
* Ensure training and motivate teams to enhance performance through initiatives like QRCI and 5S.
* Collaborate with shift supervisors and Plant PC&L Manager to define QCDP objectives for different areas of focus, such as SCRAP, MPM's, PDP Achievement, Absenteeism, number of accidents, Improvement Ideas, etc.
* Monitor GAP performance during shifts and report accurate data at the end of each shift.
* Manage resources effectively to drive results, adapting to changing needs by identifying recruitment requirements.
* Respond promptly to issues, containing problems, calling support functions if needed, and developing action plans.
* Apply quality standards and procedures to meet customer expectations.
* Participate in the deployment of the Pull System/Kanban.
* Suggest solutions and methodologies that contribute to process optimization.
People Management:
* Daily presence on the shop floor, ensuring daily contact with team members and close team management.
* Managing teams: planning shift changes, absenteeism, holidays, and overtime.
* Coaching GAP Leaders and team members on their roles.
* Supporting operators in solving interpersonal and operational problems.
* Maintaining rigor and discipline, enforcing work clothes, EPI's, and work schedules.
* E nsuring respect for safety instructions, policies, and procedures.
* Participating in staff selection and recruitment.
* Ensuring proper newcomer induction.
* Conducting appraisal processes for all staff.
* Fostering operator polyvalence and following the process evolution plan.
Health, Safety, Environment, and Work Conditions:
* Immediately stopping the logistic mechanism in case of safety risk.
* Piloting and leading the HSE Core Team in GAPs and deploying action plans.
* Guiding improvements of work conditions and ergonomics.
* E nsuring outsourced partners adhere to proceedings.
* Auditing outsourcers.
* Managing waste and empty containers.
* Recycling materials.
