What is The RoleThis role focuses on the software build, test, and release processes for Elastic Agent.
This role extends from the CI/CD systems which run automated test and release processes to the build tooling which underpins a complex Golang project.
What You Will Be DoingEnsuring that the test framework for Elastic Agent consistently delivers accurate test results to developers quickly and cost-effectively.
Produce automated CI analytics to quantify business impact, surface bottlenecks, and prioritize improvements.
Implement a curated testing strategy, manage flaky tests, and maintain an up-to-date support matrix.
Promote the use of container-based builds and standardized tooling in the Elastic Agent CI.
Ensure proper access controls, secret management, dependency security checks, and software supply chain security best practices, while aligning with compliance requirements.
What You BringCommunication: Exceptional written and spoken communication skills and ability to include others in decision-making.
Emotional intelligence: Ability to work on a distributed team and empathize with teammates worldwide.
Security-minded: Creative and thorough thinking about information and data security, with meticulous attention to detail.
Experienced: Demonstrated ability in Golang with a focus on build and test processes for complex projects;
experience with Buildkite and cross-platform pipelines.
Data-driven: Decision-making based on high-quality data.
