OverviewThe PositionWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Enterprise Monitoring Engineer to join our Enterprise Monitoring team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of monitoring solutions to ensure the availability, performance, and health of the company's critical systems and infrastructure.
The candidate will also be involved in automating monitoring processes and improving the overall monitoring strategy.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise-level monitoring solutions for various IT systems and applications.
Develop custom monitoring scripts and plugins to extend monitoring capabilities and enhance alerting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand monitoring requirements and ensure the right monitoring coverage.
Configure and optimize monitoring tools such as SevOne, Moogsoft, and xMatters.
Analyze and resolve complex monitoring issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
Continuously evaluate and improve existing monitoring processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Create and maintain comprehensive monitoring documentation, including SOPs and runbooks.
Provide training and support to other team members and stakeholders on monitoring tools and practices.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical incidents and issues.
Required Education, Experience And SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 2 years of experience in enterprise monitoring and IT operations.
Proficiency with monitoring tools such as SevOne, Moogsoft, and xMatters.
Strong scripting skills (e.G., Python, Ansible, PowerShell) for automation and custom monitoring solutions.
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and applications.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Education, Experience And SkillsExperience with cloud monitoring solutions (e.G., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
Certifications related to monitoring tools and IT operations.
