As a Laytime Analyst, you will oversee the end-to-end laytime calculation, negotiation, and settlement processes.
Your role will be in close coordination with cross-functional teams to make sure that we comply with contractual terms and support timely, accurate laytime management.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with Operations and Execution teams to ensure accurate and complete document collection in line with C/P and contract requirements.Perform and validate laytime calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.Proactively alert to potential risks or exposures arising from contract clauses or discrepancies.Follow instructions precisely to ensure accuracy in laytime processing and avoid disputes or errors.Input and monitor laytime accruals within company systemsLead negotiations with counterparties to resolve laytime claims and finalize settlements.Prepare and issue credit/debit notes and ensure timely closure of settlement processes.Review and interpret various C/P and contracts, tracking industry updates, and assessing their impact on laytime.Identify recurring issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of global laytime policies and best practices.Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and overall quality.Key requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Maritime, Shipping, or Logistics ManagementMinimum 2 years of work experience in Laytime.Experienced level of understanding of laytime termsAdvanced English level, both written and spokenHigh computer literacyGood understanding of contractsAbility to negotiate with customers by making analytical calculations on laytime calculationsAttention to detail
