What's the purpose of this role?
The Principal Solution Architect – SAP Dev will:
- Develop and communicate a clear technical vision and strategy for ABAP and HANA developments, aligning with organizational goals and fostering innovation.
- Lead and motivate internal and partner development teams, promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on SAP technologies.
- Maintain high standards in ABAP/HANA development, utilizing best practices and advanced techniques.
- Mentor team members, supporting their professional growth in ABAP/HANA skills.
- Make technical decisions ensuring solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and technologies related to ABAP and HANA.
What is needed to succeed in this role?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT architecture and systems design.
- Extensive SAP experience (8-10 years), including hands-on ABAP and HANA development.
- Proven leadership in technical teams and driving technical excellence.
- Experience with full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Expertise in SAP system integration using technologies like BAPI, RFC, ALE/IDOC, and web services.
- Strong skills in performance tuning for ABAP and HANA.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex SAP technical issues.
- Knowledge of SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD and their integration points.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction and documentation.
- Commitment to continuous learning of SAP technologies and best practices.
