Role overview
We are looking for an active, motivated Architect who is interested in challenging and varied work. You will manage our development projects from concept to execution — residential buildings, renovations, property audits and architectural support for permitting.
Key responsibilities
a. Develop architectural concepts and detailed designs, adapting projects to client requirements and to applicable legislation.
b. Design and implement solutions using innovative materials and technologies, including materials not previously used in Portugal.
c. Carry out property audits and technical assessments prior to acquisition.
d. Prepare and manage permitting documentation and interact with local authorities; demonstrate full understanding of the local permitting system.
e. Coordinate with contractors, engineers and surveyors throughout all project stages; monitor compliance with regulations, schedules and budgets.
f. Supervise on-site execution and ensure quality control and correct implementation of design solutions.
Requirements
* Degree in Architecture and mandatory professional license to practice in Portugal.
* Proven track record of delivered residential projects.
* Portfolio is an advantage.
* Full understanding of local permitting procedures and related processes.
* Practical experience in property audits and technical inspections.
* Proficiency in relevant design and documentation software.
* Fluent English — the interview will be conducted in English; office leadership communicates in English.
* Driving licence (category B) — mandatory.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Based in or able/willing to work from the office in Miranda do Corvo, Coimbra; readiness to relocate — relocation support provided.
