What does the OTC Global Process Expert do?
The OTC Global Process Expert will work with key stakeholders across the business, shaping OTC global design, delivering continuous improvement and digitalisation and ensure standardised, controlled, cost-effective, compliant and efficient OTC processes are in place. The Global OTC Process Expert acts as the link between the global team and the Shared Service Center (managed by a third party provider), DHL Supply Chain Regional Accounting Hubs and Country Finance teams, ensuring that the designed processes are effectively implemented and adhered to, driving consistency, efficiency and continuous improvement across all regions as well as across the SSC and the Regional Accounting Hubs.
What are the key accountabilities?
* You will continually seek to identify and perform continuous process improvements based on process execution performance, operational observations and business requirements.
* Perform process standardization and maturity analyses to identify improvements and assess the feasibility of suggested process improvements from a Business Process Optimization (BPO)-OTC perspective. You will also provide consulting expertise on BPO-OTC issues of medium to high complexity regarding design and documentation of the OTC processes.
* You will represent BPO-OTC in the defined change alignment process for all changes related to OTC process which are managed in the SSC and shape and drive the OTC-topic conceptually as a recognized SME.
* You will document the global OTC process including local adaptations, process-based internal controls and process-based KPIs, making this available to all stakeholder groups to ensure agreed process design standards are adhered to.
* You will design and incorporate suggested and approved changes to the global OTC process and communicate changes to affected teams (retained and outsourced). This includes maintaining documentation and designing approved changes to the Target Operating Model for local adaptations.
* Perform end-to-end standardization of the OTC process in alignment with BPO and HUB peer groups.
* As a recognized subject matter expert, you will collect and document relevant process tower knowledge and best practices to keep global process model up to industry standards and share knowledge and best practices across regions.
* You will lead the review and resolution of OTC process and transactional accounting issues, risks, and business impacts and ensure escalations related to OTC are properly addressed with relevant action plans, monitoring them to closure using the appropriate escalation matrix.
* Challenge business needs driving process customizations and redesign ensuring proper justification and governance for change and adherence to global design.
* Support in providing insights through providing reports to stakeholders and provide product support to end users of the OTC Dashboard as senior user.
* As an owner of the OTC process, you will ensure that the global design and approved local adaptations are used as intended by the operational process execution teams (retained & outsourced).
What project responsibilities are there?
* Lead and manage process improvement & harmonization projects of medium complexity and global scale; contribute to projects of higher complexity.
* Raise and develop elements of a Strategic roadmap for the OTC process including a portfolio of future optimizations/continuous improvements that is prioritized to customers' needs.
* Monitor and report program/project progress, highlight any divergence from plans and communicate to relevant project stakeholders.
* Identify and analyse risks, propose mitigation actions, and drive resolution of escalations.
* Define and monitor process performance pre- and post-improvements and initiate corrective actions when necessary to achieve necessary performance.

We are looking for someone with in-depth finance and business experience within the Order-to-Cash domain and preferably a candidate with DHL Group experience. This includes financial accounting/controlling experience, process improvement and management experience along with working cross-functionally/divisionally with other employees.
