The Global Category leader- Flow E&I will report into Global Category Management Team Leader.
You will have circa an ~$80M spend portfolio and will be responsible for developing, validating and implementing the global Procurement strategy for sub-categories within the portfolio.You will work with with Procurement Project/Product Leaders, Regional Category Leader, Technology, and Supply Chain Leaders.What are the day to day duties?
- Define a Global Category Strategy for assigned Categories that drives continuous improvement within the Category and benefits to the business- Develop/Manage Preferred Supplier Network and Strategic Suppliers- Define Contracting Strategy and lead Supplier Negotiations- Drive Cash Improvements across assigned Categories- Mitigate Risks to the business by driving a comprehensive strategy that builds a flexible supply chain and ensures continuity of supply- Develop Best Cost Country strategy- Drive supplier relationship management processes- Report to Leadership on Market Trends and Category Performance- General understanding of Direct material categories and water treatment technologies (products and operations).
- Familiarity with market trends and key suppliers in the relevant Categories.
- Knowledge of Supply base for Valves, Pipes & Fittings, Instruments, Analyzers, RO Pressure vessels- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of developing presentations and comfortable interacting with internal/external stakeholders and Water Techsenior management.QualificationsWhat skills and background will you likely have?
