The Opportunity
Access Healthcare is looking for a detail-oriented Credit Controller to strengthen our Finance team in Porto. You'll play a key role in keeping cash flow steady and financial reporting accurate, ensuring our international operations run smoothly. This is also a chance to recommend and implement process improvements that make a real difference.
What You'll Do
Collections & Client Relations
* Manage and monitor invoices to reduce overdue payments.
* Contact corporate clients by phone and email to secure timely payment.
* Negotiate payment plans when necessary and escalate issues as appropriate.
* Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and client communications.
* Spot opportunities to enhance processes and systems and help put those changes in place.
Accounts Receivable Operations
* Process incoming payments promptly and accurately.
* Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
* Prepare statements, aging reports, and assist with month-end close.
* Respond to client queries on invoices, payments, or balances.
* Report key Accounts Receivable metrics to the leadership team.
What We're Looking For
* 1-2 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, or a similar finance role.
* Secondary education required; an accounting or finance qualification is a plus.
* Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) preferred.
* Strong Excel skills; familiarity with CRM systems is an advantage.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Fluent English, both written and spoken.
