We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (Java/Kotlin).In this role, you will take a senior-level technical position, contributing to the design and evolution of backend architectures, shaping APIs, and making key technical decisions that directly impact our digital solutions. You will collaborate with multicultural teams and other contractors, working autonomously in a remote-first environment with a strong engineering culture.What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering 4+ years of experience in server-side development of commercial web applications in Java and/or Kotlin 4+ years of experience in commercial software development on TypeScript with React Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including Big-O notation, Basic data structures and Algorithms Strong skills in REST/GraphQL APIs Capable of reading and writing maintainable and testable code using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and other languages and frameworks Create user interface (we expect that ~70% of tasks will be at server-side and ~30% at client-side) Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design, performance tuning, and writing complex queries. Proven experience building highly scalable distributed systems Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Cassandra, Kafka and Akka Excellent understanding of Java concurrency Fluent written and spoken English Experience with Jira, and other Atlassian tools Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions A problem-solver mindset, eager to tackle challenges that make a real differenceWhy join Sngular?
