Role Title: O&M Cost & Budget Expert
Local: Lisbon
In partnership with Vantage Towers, and as part of the strategic strengthening of its teams and the promotion of its business, we are recruiting a O&M Cost & Budget Expert for Lisbon.
Role Purpose: As an Infrastructure O&M Cost & Budget Manager, you will oversee and monitor the budget allocation and expenditures for operations and maintenance (O&M) activities across the Vantage Towers (VT) footprint. Your primary objective is to benchmark costs, identify cost reduction measures, and initiate efficiency improvements within the O&M domain. You will also analyse business levers to optimize expenditures and enhance operational efficiency.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
· Budget Monitoring & Management:
· Track, manage, and review O&M budgets across all markets, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with business goals. Oversee volume and cost analysis of infrastructure
operations services delivered to clients.
· Cost Benchmarking & Optimization: Develop a comprehensive O&M budget view using
financial data, site-specific insights, and process-related information.
· Conduct cost benchmarking between local markets, analyzing detailed metrics such as cost per site, asset, and operational function.
· Identify and implement cost reduction strategies and operational efficiency improvements based on benchmarking insights.
· Vendor Strategy & Financial Alignment: Support the strategic planning and selection of new
O&M vendors by providing budget and cost-related insights.
Ensure cost-effective vendor engagement and procurement strategies.
· Reporting & Business Case Development:
Develop and deliver budget-related reports for overnance meetings involving local markets and
vendors. Contribute to business cases for infrastructure operations investments and cost-related initiatives across VT's footprint · Lead and collaborate on global projects, ensuring alignment between central departments and local markets.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
· At least 5 years experience in Finance Domain especially on Budget view, Benchmarking and Business Case creation
· At least 3 years experience in O&M Domain, notably ground base towers, rooftop towers and distributed antenna systems
· Broad and comprehensive understanding of theories and practices about infrastructure operations and maintenance
· Solid communication and negotiation skills by contributing to vendor management
· Strategic mentality, analytical and conceptual skills, and ability to work in a team.
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
· Successfully completed university studies with a Bachelor or Master Degree of Business Administration and Engineering; Industrial engineer electrical engineering, Bachelor for Business Administration in Finance or similar education
· Fluency in English is mandatory (C1 according to CEFR); Spanish and Portuguese is a nice to have.
