About the role
Reporting directly to the
CFO
, you will play a key role in strengthening Host Wise's
internal accounting structure, bringing greater accuracy, control and consistency to our financial operations
.
This role is ideal for someone who combines

ownership-driven mindset

motivated by building structure in a fast-paced

What you'll be doing
Leading the company's day-to-day
accounting operations
, ensuring accuracy and reliability across financial records;
Preparing
monthly closings
and supporting the delivery of timely and consistent financial information;
Ensuring
compliance with tax and accounting obligations under the Portuguese framework
(IVA, retenções, etc.);
Managing
reconciliations
, supporting
current account control
, and maintaining strong documentation standards;
Supporting the
preparation of financial statements
and internal reporting in close collaboration with the CFO;
Improving accounting processes
, controls and workflows to support scale and operational efficiency;
Providing
structure
and
review support across the finance team
, helping raise the quality and consistency of execution.
Skills for the Role
Degree in Accounting, Management or similar;
5+ years
of experience in accounting roles, preferably with exposure to ERPs and invoicing systems;
Certified Chartered Accountan
t (Portuguese TOC / OCC certification);
Strong knowledge of
Portuguese tax
and accounting framework;
Autonomous profile
with strong ownership mindset.
