Job Description
As a seasoned Delivery Manager, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead a team of developers in crafting innovative solutions for high-profile clients. Your strong background in Agile methodologies and deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) will enable you to effectively manage projects, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, including development, business, and stakeholders, you will be responsible for gathering and refining requirements, defining project scope, and ensuring continuous progress and alignment. Your excellent communication skills will facilitate seamless collaboration and ensure that all stakeholders are informed about project status and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
* Mentor the team as an Agile advocate and implement continuous improvement processes
* Manage conflicts and impediments, coaching the team on effective conflict resolution and impediment management
* Ensure open and honest communication among stakeholders, maintaining transparency regarding project progress and deliverables
* Provide clear reports tailored to different audiences, highlighting project specifications and key performance indicators
* Use prior technical experience to triage development and QA tickets based on business and customer priorities
* Own and supervise the product backlog, story writing, project roadmap, and dependencies
* Translate product features into well-defined product requirements, including features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Collaborate with development teams, software architects, and business stakeholders to set and communicate release schedules, dates, and scope
* Ensure team delivery against agreed plans and influence product vision definition
* Assist in identifying market opportunities and planning end-to-end product development lifecycles
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need:
* 10+ years of enterprise experience supporting Agile development teams in Product Management, Delivery Management, or Engineering Management roles
* Ideally, previous experience in Retail or similar industries
* Ability to coordinate schedules across multiple time zones
* Effective communication skills, including conflict resolution and multi-reporting
* Proven track record of management skills, including roadmap planning and backlog management
* Software engineering background, with comfort speaking technical jargon and influencing discussions about architecture and coding topics
* Ability to analyze product use cases and requirements from all SDLC phases, including architecture, development, testing, and deployment
