Your New Mission
The Snowflake administrator is responsible of the sound operating of the platform.
The activities include technical leadership and support as well as daily maintenance and supervision of the platform.
Technical skills are essential but communication with various stakeholders is also key.
Other important soft skills include the ability to work autonomously while ensuring a clear reporting.
What You Need to be Succeed
Optimized RBAC and environments administration, error proof and as automated as possible.
Compliance with security guidelines.
Reduced lead time to answer to requests within the scope (access, environment management).
Well integrated platform according to architecture design (connexion with Cloud Data Platform, Qliksense, others once added).
Powerful monitoring with automated alerts integrated within AWS global monitoring.
Good level of support to user community.
Good reporting to management, including risks and issues with action plans
Maintain Snowflake RBAC according to defined practices on all environments (from dev to prod) and using CICD tools.
Tune Snowflake for performance and optimize utilization. Optimize usage & access of Virtual Warehouse according to defined practices.
Understand and maintain complex data models in Snowflake.
Maintain DB environments, perform DB cloning.
Develop & maintain scripts to automate above tasks.
Provide support to FinOps and SecOps activities.
Understand internal customer requirements and meet business goals
Work hands-on with internal customers to demonstrate and communicate implementation best practices on Snowflake technology
Provide technology leadership in driving large complex Snowflake implementations
Provide expertise to user community & liaise with Snowflake support when necessary.
