ISTO. is looking for a strategic, data-driven Head of E-commerce to lead our online growth. You will own the full digital customer journey from acquisition to retention, and from website performance to conversion optimization. This is a senior leadership role with significant ownership. You'll report directly to the founders and have the opportunity to grow a high-performing team around you.
This role is primarily on-site at our Lisbon office, where you'll collaborate closely with our team across design, logistics, operations, and retail. While occasional remote work may be possible, we believe that day-to-day presence is key to building, testing, and scaling ISTO.'s e-commerce function. This is not a remote role.
You Will
Lead and execute the full e-commerce strategy across all digital channels and platforms
Manage and optimize our Shopify Plus storefront including UX, content, checkout, and performance
Lead and support running acquisition campaigns across paid social, search, and affiliates, as well as retention campaigns through email and SMS
Analyze data, uncover insights, run A/B tests, and build a structured testing roadmap
Track and report performance using key metrics such as CAC, LTV, AOV, and conversion rate
Oversee product listings, pricing, and inventory coordination across markets
Work closely with design, logistics, retail, and customer support to ensure alignment
Manage external partners and performance agencies, and progressively build an internal team
Help define ISTO.'s growth roadmap with digital as a core pillar
Ensure all online work reflects our commitment to sustainability, transparency, and product integrity
What We're Looking For
5 or more years of experience in e-commerce, ideally in fashion, lifestyle or DTC
Proven success managing digital growth through Shopify or similar platforms
Experience with CRO tools, A/B testing, GA4, Looker or Data Studio, Klaviyo, and Gorgias
Strong understanding of digital marketing across SEM, Meta Ads, email, and affiliates
Fluency in Portuguese and English
Skilled in managing agencies and coordinating across internal teams
A mix of analytical thinking and creative instinct
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
Bonus Points
Experience with Shopify Plus, European logistics, or bridging e-commerce with retail
Background in a sustainability-oriented or mission-led brand
Familiarity with UX/UI best practices, subscription models, or multi-country DTC operations
