We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer (Backend) to join a team building a high-scale betting platform.
You will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of distributed systems powering real-time betting experiences.In this role, you will play a key part in defining and implementing the test automation strategy, while working in a fast-paced environment where quality, speed, and continuous delivery are essential.Expected travelling time (UK and USA): 0%-15%, varies according to project/client.
You will be working with teams across different time zones and locations.Proven experience as aQuality Assurance Engineer / Quality Engineerin complex software development projects.Experience withboth manual and automated testing .
Ability towrite and maintain test automation scripts .
Working knowledge of a programming language such asJava.Experience testingmicroservices or service-oriented architectures .
Strong experience withAPI testing (REST) .
Understanding ofdata flow across distributed systems .
Experience withtest-driven practices (BDD or ATDD) .
Familiarity withversion control systems such as Git .
Experience withCI/CD tools such as Jenkins .
Strongcommunication and collaboration skills .
Nice to HaveExperience withDatadog,a tool used for monitoring, investigating issues, and analyzing logs.Experience testingevent-driven architectures using Kafka .
Experience working withcloud environments such as AWS .
Familiarity withBrowserStackfor cross-browser testing.Experience withconfiguration management toolssuch as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.Experience inhigh-traffic or real-time platforms (e.G., betting, gaming, fintech) .
