About The Role
As a Quality Engineer – FMEA Specialist/Moderator, you will be part of our growing team at Preh Portugal (Trofa), contributing to the development and maintenance of innovative automotive technologies.
You'll work in a dynamic, international environment, using the latest tools and platforms to tackle real-world challenges.
The Challenges in Front of You
* Coordinate and moderate cross-functional working sessions with project and production teams to develop and update Process FMEAs and Production Control Plans in response to audits, complaints, product/process changes, and continuous improvement activities.
* Facilitate structured risk analysis discussions to identify failure modes and implement preventive quality measures.
* Plan and monitor the regular review and maintenance of FMEAs and Control Plans across all relevant projects.
* Prepare and present reports with key quality indicators related to FMEA/Control Plan updates and risk status.
* Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, AIAG & VDA FMEA standards, and company-specific quality guidelines.
* Support project teams during customer visits or audits by presenting FMEA methodology and findings.
What You Bring To The Table
You're more than your resume — you're passionate for excellence, proactive, and growth-minded. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* Academic background in Engineering or Quality Management (e.g., Integrated Management Systems), or equivalent professional experience.
* Preferably experience in the automotive industry.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AIAG & VDA FMEA standards.
* Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies.
* Proficient in MS Office applications.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken).
