Job Overview

Project Document Controller Lead


We are seeking a skilled Project Document Controller Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient document control structure and flow of information on the project.


As a key member of the project team, you will provide reports to project management and act as a single point of contact for clients on information management and documentation.



Key Responsibilities

* Ensure contractual requirements related to document numbering, filling, and handover are implemented on the project, including confidentiality requirements.
* Perform documentation planning in cooperation with project planners and project engineering management, as appropriate, and follow up on activities as necessary to produce revised plans.
* Follow up on information management activities and documentation status and performance in cooperation with project teams to secure project milestones, reporting deviations, and proposing actions across interfaces.
* Ensure proper interface with clients according to project coordination procedures, defining distribution matrices in coordination with project teams, and identifying and providing input on Variation Orders (VORs), documentation status reports, areas of concern, etc., on a regular basis to relevant project and discipline management.
* Ensure training of Document Controllers on Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and perform project closing activities according to Company procedures and contractual requirements.
* Identify and give input on improved methodologies for execution of document control work to managers of documentation groups.



Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A high school diploma (Bachelor's degree in Information Management preferred).
* 4-6 years of experience in similar roles.
* Professional English language skills.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* The ability to identify process weaknesses and make recommendations to improve processes and workflows.
