We are seeking a Production Manager (m/f) to lead our production operations at our Film Capacitors Plant in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal. You will oversee production teams, ensure quality, meet deadlines, and control costs, playing a key role in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise production activities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
- Manage operational teams, promote skills development, and ensure safety and compliance with internal and client requirements.
- Optimize production processes focusing on continuous improvement and waste reduction.
- Lead initiatives for process improvement, root cause analysis, and sustainable actions.
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Support the development of production strategies and participate in automation projects.
- Develop plans to improve material, equipment, and personnel efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial Engineering and Management.
- At least 5 years of management experience in automotive manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is preferred.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft tools.
- Knowledge of Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Analytical and results-driven approach.
