Mission of the RoleAs part of the Mechanical Interface role, you are responsible for interacting with the Customer, Internal Program Team, and Mechanical execution leads to ensure all mechanical deliverables are on track. Key ObjectivesGood customer interaction skills to serve as a customer interface for ME deliverables. Collaborate with global execution engineers to communicate customer requirements and follow up on deliverables. Understand automotive project development phases, timing, and processes. Track the project according to automotive development flow and deliver internal process‐related deliverables in tools like Jira and Confluence. Key Year One DeliverablesAll customer deliveries on time and of the required quality level. No customer escalation related to gaps in communication or delivery. On‐time completion of internal process deliverables in Jira and Confluence. Qualifications, Experience, and SkillsBachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering. Project execution experience from RFQ to SOP, with knowledge of global automotive design flow (project management experience is a bonus). 5 to 8 years of experience in automotive design in a global Tier 1 or OEM. Experience designing with sheet metal, plastic moldings, extrusions, and castings, including design for manufacturing reviews. Knowledge of enclosure design, thermal management, structural design, sealing, interconnections, PCB, and material selection for in‐cabin and exterior environments. Knowledge of mechanical design of vehicle charging system electronics or powertrain modules (not mandatory). Knowledge of mechanical design of power electronics systems, including inverters, on‐board chargers, and DC/DA (not mandatory). Experience interacting with internal stakeholders and external customers at the OEM or Tier 1 level. Experience in requirement analysis and issue management (Jira, Confluence). Experience with ASIL‐D, DFMEA, and other quality documents. Failure analysis and testing experience. Strong understanding of design for module‐level reliability. Understanding of EMC/ESD and circuit design. Experience in CAD systems (Catia preferred, NX, Team Center database). Experience in BOM creation and release.
