We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Lisbon. This role requires hands-on experience, leadership in data science projects, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
* Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data solutions.
* Lead and mentor data science teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Work with data visualization tools to present insights (Qlik Sense, Qlik View, Power BI, Tableau).
* Develop and implement data models and analytics solutions using Python, R, or Scala; work with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
* Apply agile methodologies and contribute to project planning and execution.
* Support self-management and problem-solving to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, preferably within a multinational, fast-paced environment.
* Proven experience in leading and mentoring data science teams.
* Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (Qlik Sense, Qlik View, Power BI, Tableau).
* Solid ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala; experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
* Strong self-management and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of data management processes (ETL) and familiarity with Snowflake (preferred).
* Practical experience with agile methodologies.
