AVANCEESoftware is looking for a Frontend Tech Lead to join our product teams and take a leading role in shaping the web applications at the heart of our IoT and cloud platform. Our frontend powers configuration interfaces, real-time dashboards, and operational tools used by clients around the world.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who combines deep frontend expertise with a builder's mindset and a genuine interest in growing the people around them. You will drive technical direction, set the bar for quality, and work closely with product and design to deliver meaningful results at scale.
You Will Be Working On
Frontend Engineering
• Defining frontend architecture in the context of distributed systems, including integration with backend services and real-time data flows
• Implementing high-impact frontend features across our IoT and cloud platform, including dashboards, device configuration UIs, and real-time data views
• Ensuring performance and scalability of data-intensive and real-time user interfaces
• Identifying opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into both development workflows and product features
• Designing scalable frontend systems — component libraries, micro-frontend architecture, and state management patterns — that raise quality and velocity across product teams
• Driving adoption of modern tooling and AI-assisted workflows to improve how the team builds, tests, and ships
• Owning end-to-end delivery of complex frontend projects from technical design through release and iteration
Technical Leadership
• Leading technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture decisions for frontend components
• Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, establishing best practices for code quality, performance, and maintainability
• Partnering with product managers and UX/UI designers to translate requirements into well-scoped, high-quality solutions
• Establishing best practices for the effective and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools across the team
• Driving architectural decisions in environments with evolving requirements and incomplete information
• Defining and evolving frontend standards across teams, including testing practices, tooling choices, and documentation
• Proactively identifying technical debt and driving initiatives to address it
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Working cross-functionally with backend engineers, mobile developers, and platform teams to deliver integrated product experiences
• Improving developer experience through tooling, automation, and continuous integration and delivery practices
• Defining standards for observability, monitoring, and debugging of frontend applications in production
• Contributing ideas to the product and engineering roadmap
• Staying current with advances in frontend tooling and frameworks, sharing insights with the broader engineering team
Required Qualifications
Required
• 5+ years of professional experience with React and TypeScript
• Experience defining and scaling frontend architecture across multiple teams or products
• Strong understanding of performance optimization strategies for complex and real-time frontend systems
• Experience establishing development standards, including testing, observability, and code quality practices
• Experience using and evaluating AI-assisted development tools in a team environment
• Hands-on experience with micro-frontends and Module Federation
• Experience with Nx and RSBuild or equivalent modern frontend build tooling
• Experience with TanStack Query and component/state management libraries (e.g. MUI, Redux, or Zustand)
• Knowledge of distributed architectures and how frontend systems integrate with backend services
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and raise the technical quality of a team
• Strong communication skills — able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Fluency in English
Nice to Have
• Experience with Storybook, Three.js, or data visualization libraries
• Experience with frontend observability and monitoring solutions
• Familiarity with security best practices in frontend applications
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into user-facing products or internal tools
• Familiarity with IoT platforms, real-time data, or industrial software
• Exposure to backend technologies and full-stack development
