Senior accounting auditor

At Randstad Digital , we connect top-tier talent with global industry leaders. We are currently recruiting a Senior Accounting Controller / Auditor on behalf of a prestigious client in the banking and financial sector .

We are seeking senior professionals with over 5 years of experience (5+ years) who possess the required technical expertise, autonomy, and leadership mindset to drive financial compliance at a global scale.

About the Role & Responsibilities

In this position, you will ensure the quality, compliance, and robustness of the accounting control framework across the regions and entities under your scope.

• Accounting Control Plan: Roll out and monitor the Group Accounting Control Plan. Perform LOD2 (Second Line of Defense) controls on Head Office central teams and oversee regional control set-ups.
• Accounting Certification & Reporting: Analyze accounting certificates, evaluate control deficiencies, and prepare high-level reports for Senior Management and governance bodies.
• Operational Risk & Remediation: Follow up on operational risk incidents impacting the finance framework, monitoring remediation timelines and action plans.
• Audit & Recommendations: Monitor recommendations issued by General Inspection, Internal/External Auditors, and financial Regulators.
• Governance & Stakeholder Management: Hold regular (at least quarterly) Internal Control Committee ( FORCC / AFRiC ) meetings with regional stakeholders to address control issues.

What We Are Looking For

• Background: More than 5 years of solid experience in control, finance, or audit. Experience in a Big 4 environment and within the banking or financial sector is highly preferred.
• Technical Expertise: Expert-level knowledge and strong expertise in accounting practices.
• Language Skills: English (Expert level) is mandatory, as you will interact daily with international teams and regions.
