Join to apply for theOffshore Automation Commissioning Engineerrole atSiemens Energy .Job Overview In this dynamic role, you will commission complex, customer‐specific automation and IT solutions for Command & Control systems, Power Management Systems, HVAC, and auxiliary systems on offshore HVDC platforms. These platforms are developed in collaboration with international partners and installed globally at sea.ResponsibilitiesCarry out commissioning at our shipyard partner and on offshore construction sites, ensuring the systems operate safely and reliably.Optimize systems and interfaces and assist in troubleshooting as part of the commissioning process.Serve as the first point of contact for clients on‐site, providing support and guidance.Advise customer operating personnel and offer consulting support for performance changes.Prepare commissioning documentation and represent the company during performance verifications and acceptances with clients.Act as an electrical specialist (EFK) to ensure safe working conditions after ECC issuance.QualificationsTechnical degree (Bachelor or Master) in computer science, automation technology, or a related field.Relevant professional experience in automation and programming.Foundational knowledge of SIMATIC PCS7; experience with CopaData Zenon is a plus.Independent, self‐reliant, and quality‐oriented.Team player with excellent adaptability and openness to diverse cultures.Good English skills; German skills are a plus.Willing to undertake national and international business trips, including offshore deployments lasting several weeks.BenefitsCompetitive salary and meal allowance.Fair compensation for international work.Health insurance coverage.Additional 5 "Pontes" days off and birthday off (if it falls on a weekday, when not abroad; applies only for Portugal).About the Team Our Grid Technology division enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid.
