Experis is currently recruiting for a direct hire with an international client in the fintech sector, operating in a fast-paced and technology-driven environment.
About the role
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to work on the development of new features, platform improvements, and issue resolution across core applications.
This role involves close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams throughout the full development lifecycle, from requirements to delivery and production support.
The current stack includes Ruby on Rails (backend) and React (frontend) .
Previous experience with Ruby is not mandatory, but a clear interest and willingness to work with Ruby on Rails is required.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and enhance backend and frontend features across web-based platforms
* Contribute to full lifecycle development (requirements, development, testing, deployment)
* Build prototypes and support new feature design
* Write and maintain unit and integration tests
* Participate in code reviews and follow best practices within the SDLC
* Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams
* Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and application performance
Requirements
* 6+ years of experience in full stack web development
* Strong experience with React (mandatory)
* Backend experience in at least one language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Ruby, Elixir )
* Interest and willingness to work with Ruby on Rails (mandatory)
* Experience with HTML/CSS
* Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling
* Experience with testing practices (unit and integration)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
* Collaborative mindset and good communication skills
* Fluent/Advnaced Level English and Portuguese (mandatory)
