The Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian is a Portuguese private-law institution of public utility that carries out its activities from its headquarters in Lisbon and its branches in Paris and London. Its core mission is to promote the improvement of the quality of life of individuals and organisations through art, science, education, and philanthropy, thereby contributing to a more equitable and sustainable society. We are currently seeking an Intern to join the Event Management team within Central Services. This internship will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to acquire, develop, and deepen a range of knowledge and skills complementary to their academic background, while gaining practical experience in all aspects of event coordination, from initial planning through to post-event follow-up. Internship Conditions 12-month internship Extracurricular professional internship contract Initial and continuous training Internship allowance plus meal allowance Main Responsibilities Provide support in the planning, organisation, and evaluation of meetings, conferences, and other events, ensuring the monitoring of all stages from conception to completion Support the event booking process by assessing the availability of the Foundation's venues according to the needs and requested dates of external entities, while ensuring coordination with other scheduled events Assist in event production by identifying the needs and expectations of the entities involved, as well as presenting the venues and respective facilities Prepare, organise, and maintain up-to-date documentation related to events, including agendas, participant lists, budget monitoring, and cost allocation Ensure post-event follow-up by promoting the collection of participant feedback through satisfaction surveys, with a view to identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions Maintain organised and updated databases and records containing information on events and participants Support the coordination of meeting room setups and ensure compliance with the audiovisual requirements necessary for the successful delivery of events Carry out administrative support tasks, namely scheduling, correspondence management, and data entry and updating Required skills Bachelor's degree in the areas of Communication, Tourism, or Social and Human Sciences (Level 6 of the National Qualifications Framework) No minimum professional experience required Basic knowledge of event planning and management Proficiency in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written Organisational and planning abilities Willingness and motivation to learn The Gulbenkian Foundation strives to attract and retain talent by recognising people as our most important asset in fulfilling the Foundation's mission.
