We are MEDWAY, a member of the Cargo Division of the MSC Group logistics and shipping conglomerate, a global business engaged in the shipping and logistics sector worldwide.
With a Center of Excellence (CoE), based in Lisbon and with the implementation exciting new projects, including an SAP roll-out process, we need to expand our team with:
SAP ABAP Senior Developer
This role of SAP ABAP Senior Developer will support day-to-day operations ensuring that the business solution performs effectively.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Participate in development of designs for IT projects involving SAP applications;
* Determinetechnical requirements of projects to ensure that client specifications are met;
* Participate as SAP development specialty through all phases of new solutions' projects;
* Work closely with Business Team in design of solutions and enhancements;
* Work closely with Basis and Infrastructure teams during design and implementation of solutions;
* Leverage ABAP skills to develop solutions, proof-of-concepts for projects;
* Learn, help design and implement cross business process solutions.
EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL AND PERSONAL SKILLS
* Over 6 years' experience in the practical development of SAP ABAP applications;
* Predominant adoption of the Object Oriented paradigm;
* Familiarity with FIORI development and HANA tools;
* Experience withWRICEF components (Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms) of SAP development;
* Understanding and developing experience with BAPIs/RFCs, User-exits, BADIs, SAP Script, Smartforms and ALV;
* ABAP debugging skills and strong problem-solving abilities;
* Understanding and previous experience of one or more SAP modules, as well as the SAP product portfolio;
* Knowledgeof ITsystems development, IT infrastructure and business processes;
* Knowledgeof software development tools, technologies and methodologies;
* Higher education, preferably in Information Technology;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
* Proficiency in written and spoken English;
* Ability to workautonomously and as part of a team.
IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE
* Experience in the following in Functional Module Finance (FI/CO);
* Experience integrating SAP with 3rd party applications:
* Knowledge in French and/or Italian.
