Job Description
We are supporting an international renewable energy platform in the search for an Asset Manager, based in Lisbon.
The Asset Manager is part of the Operations team and is responsible for the successful delivery of the business case for a portfolio of renewable energy assets. The role covers the comprehensive management of operating renewable assets, ensuring alignment with strategic, technical, and financial objectives.
The mission of the role is to maximize asset value throughout the full lifecycle by optimizing operational and financial performance, managing risks, and supporting the adoption of technological and digital innovations in line with portfolio strategy.
This position has a strong focus on operational efficiency, energy ratio optimization, and cost control, applying Lean principles and leveraging digital and AI-driven tools to improve decision-making, collaboration, and performance.
Key Accountabilities
Maximize total return on assets by analyzing operational efficiency and identifying financial and technical improvement opportunities.
Manage key financial results of the assigned portfolio, including Revenue, EBITDA, EBIT, and overall asset value creation.
Implement and monitor operational efficiency initiatives, energy ratio improvements, and Lean-driven cost optimization actions.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with strategic, contractual, and operational objectives.
Supervise the execution of PPAs, ensuring KPI compliance and the preparation of accurate performance and financial reports.
Manage operational risks and expenses to minimize losses and protect asset value.
Support transversal initiatives related to asset optimization, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Technical Competencies
Experience in renewable energy asset management and electricity market operations.
Ability to perform risk analysis, prepare financial and operational KPI reports, and define value-enhancement strategies.
Proven experience managing and negotiating with external parties such as insurers, technical advisors, and public or private stakeholders.
Strong focus on continuous improvement of operational efficiency and energy performance.
Application of Lean principles for effective management of OPEX and operational costs.
Advanced use of digital and asset management platforms such as SCADA, AMS, Power BI, SAP/SAC, and digital dashboards.
Proactive adoption of digital and AI tools to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and decision-making.

Relevant experience in asset management within the renewable energy sector.

Availability for occasional travel within Portugal and Europe.
