You will lead the strategy to minimize the Cost of Risk and Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) while ensuring a customer‐centric approach that complies with the PARI/PERSI regulatory frameworks.Collection Strategy & Governance:Design and execute end‐to‐end recovery strategies for Retail and SME portfolios, from early‐stage delinquency to litigation and write‐offs.Regulatory Ownership (PARI/PERSI):Act as the final authority on PARI and PERSI compliance, ensuring 100 % adherence to legal deadlines and communication protocols to mitigate regulatory risks and Bd P sanctions.Manage the relationship with the Bank of Portugal during audits or conduct reviews related to credit recovery.Portfolio Management & NPL Sales:Lead the design and implementation of restructuring frameworks for both Retail and SME portfolios, ensuring that workout solutions are financially viable, sustainable, and aligned with IFRS 9 impairment goals.Evaluate and execute NPL portfolio sales, managing the due diligence process and relationship with debt buyers.Skills you should haveExperience: 10+ years in Collections within the Portuguese financial sector, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills, strategic vision, and the ability to lead high‐pressure teams.Communication skills: Clear and structured verbal and written communication.Time management: Ability to work efficiently in a high‐volume, deadline‐driven environment.Team player: Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work across functions and geographies.Regulatory knowledge: Understanding of PARI‐PERSI regulations and compliance standards.Language skills: Must be able to communicate well in English.Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, or a related field (nice to have).What we offerYou will get an opportunity to work in an innovative, digital bank applying state‐of‐the‐art approaches and technologies.We provide our team members with Apple Mac Books to ensure a seamless work and superior user experience.Flexible Work Model: We offer a hybrid approach with a monthly allowance to support your home office costs.Health & Wellbeing: You and your closest family (spouse and dependents) will be covered by comprehensive private healthcare.Meal Support: We help fuel your day with meal vouchers.Our processWe keep our recruiting process simple.Step 1:Talk with one of our Recruiters about your to‐date experiences and ambitions.Step 2:Meet with your future Team Manager to deep dive on the role specifics and our work environment.Our note to youDiverse teams really are the best teams.
