Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Technical Lead - RAN Engineer.
The primary responsibilities include overseeing Radio Access Network (RAN) deployments, optimizing network performance, ensuring seamless integration of RAN elements, and managing and mentoring team members.
The individual will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced technical solutions, troubleshoot complex network issues, and lead project delivery from initial planning to execution while ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications
· Planning and optimization activities for all generation of mobile networks (2G up to 5G)
· Drive Test Processing, Analysis & Report with the most widely used tools (ex: TEMS Discovery), including E2E logs analysis and optimization;
· Initial Tuning and Single Site optimization activities for all technologies;
· Cluster tuning and optimization to achieve the target KPI;
· KPI Monitoring,Analysis and Reporting;
· Network Performance Benchmark;
· KPI and Parameter mapping for multi-vendor projects;
· Parameterinconsistencies check and database correction;
· Processesautomation and data manipulation using BI and Data Science knowledge;
· Day by day knowledge leverage within the team & technical workshop creation as part of our knowledge share best practices.
· Support the first implementation of RAN solutions at customer sites (RAN, Core, ORAN, NPO, etc.)
· Perform functional and technical validation of deployed solutions
· Resolve initial deployment issues, including bugs, integration problems, and performance limitations
· Execute configuration tuning and adjustments to stabilize the solution
· Provide close customer support during early-life phase
· Act as a technical reference during solution acceptance
· Collect and deliver structured feedback to Product and Engineering teams
· Document lessons learned and best practices
· Support handover to operations teams after stabilization
SKILLS needed
Background in communications theory and RF basics, broad knowledge of other wireless technology such as NB-IoT, VoLTE, WCDMA and GSM;
- Proven experience in legacy technologies such as 2G/3G/4G including their main E2E features;
- Proven experience in 5G NR networks and the associated 3GPP specifications, specifically on RAN features, optimization, air interface parameters, radio resource management, signaling, mobility settings, idle and active mode call processing;
- Knowledge of RAN KPIs, counters, definitions of optimization parameters and their impacts on network performance and capacity;
- Know-howin theMobile Network lifecycle and processes (modernization, swap, roll-out, etc);
- Hands-onexperience with performance management, RF optimization, and capacity planning, especially in LTE & 5G networks
