Overview
We’re hiring an experienced Cloud Engineer (AWS) to join our agile project team. You’ll work with all pieces of the system infrastructure — from writing code to provision infrastructure to driving root cause analysis — all while having fun learning and building things.
You’ll also guide the team on DevOps methodologies and best practices, and maintain close communication with C-level clients (CEO, COO, others), so English must feel like your second nature :)
What do you need to be a SMART Cloud Engineer?
* Strong experience managing AWS Cloud Infrastructure
* Proficient in provisioning resources, configuring networks, ensuring security, optimizing costs, disaster recovery, and automating infrastructure management
* Skilled in setting up CI/CD pipelines and AWS networking/accounts using GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitLab, and/or Jenkins
* Experience with containers and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes and Docker (preferably with Helm Charts)
* Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform and Terragrunt
* Knowledge of monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, CloudWatch)
* Experience creating and managing CDNs (CloudFront, Akamai)
* Solid understanding of networking protocols
* Comfortable roaming Linux/Unix systems and pinpointing root causes
* Understanding of internet and web application fundamentals
* Familiar with metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and observability concepts
* Experience with configuration management frameworks such as Ansible
* Ability to maintain applications in production environments
* Self-driven, motivated, humble, and willing to learn and teach others
* Comfortable with DevOps methodologies and best practices
* Fluent in English (required for close collaboration with clients)

* Communicate frequently with clients’ leadership teams to align infrastructure with business needs
* Support national and international projects, with occasional travel as required
