We are working with a leading global pharmaceutical organisation delivering a large-scale SAP S/4HANA Rollout across its European operations.
They require a Senior SAP FICO Consultant to join them on a 12-month freelance contract engagement.
This role will focus on designing, configuring, and optimising SAP Finance and Controlling processes within an S/4HANA environment, supporting core financial transformation across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead configuration and functional delivery across SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, AA) and CO (CCA, PCA, CO-PA) modules
• Support end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) financial processes within S/4HANA
• Design and optimise financial reporting aligned with S/4HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA) principles
• Collaborate with MM, SD, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless financial integration
• Support data migration, testing cycles (SIT/UAT), and go-live preparation activities
• Provide guidance on local statutory requirements and IFRS compliance
• Troubleshoot complex finance-related issues during implementation and stabilisation phases
• Contribute to documentation, process design, and knowledge transfer activities
• Act as a senior advisor to finance stakeholders during transformation milestones
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 7+ years of hands-on SAP FICO consulting experience
• Proven experience working on SAP S/4HANA finance implementations
• Strong knowledge of FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting) and CO (Cost Centre, Profit Centre, CO-PA)
• Experience within regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or life sciences is highly advantageous
• Solid understanding of financial integration points with MM and SD
• Experience supporting full project lifecycles, including testing and go-live
• Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to operate independently within hybrid or remote project environments
• Fluent in English; Portuguese is advantageous
