We are seeking a seasoned Business Operations Specialist to join our team in Lisbon. As a key member of our Business Operations function, you will be responsible for driving financial performance and contributing to the company's strategic goals.

About the Role

">

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in business controlling and financial analysis to enable business operations and finance teams to achieve their objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to drive growth and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities

">
">
* Communicate updates, issues, and problems related to financial and business controlling processes to reporting and analytics leads.
">
* Support group R&A in inventory accounting, including reconciliation, stock difference analysis, and aging analysis with finance business partners.
">
* Conduct financial and business controlling activities, explain deviations, and identify root causes in collaboration with finance business partners.
">
* Analyze purchase price variance (PPV) and purchase orders.
">
* Monitor CAPEX and fixed assets with the asset accounting team and provide inputs for asset capitalization.
">
* Provide insights into maintenance costs with support from BI reports for spare parts usage on machines.
">
* Prepare financial planning and rolling forecasts in coordination with finance business partners and upload data into Jedox.
">
* Support projects by supplying and uploading data requests from finance business partners.
">
* Raise proactively issues or concerns that could impact activity performance within timelines.
">
* Identify opportunities for process scope extension or improvement within the controlling function and implement streamlined processes.
">
* Participate in functional and technical training related to ERP systems and planning tools to enhance knowledge and capabilities.
">

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To succeed in this role, you will need:

">
">
* A bachelor's degree in accounting and finance; MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred.
">
* 3-5 years of relevant business controlling / FP&A experience.
">
* A strong understanding of financial, management reporting, and controlling activities.
">
* Experience with financial forecasting software and ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA), proficiency in Excel.
">
* Experience with consolidation and planning tools (e.g., IBM Cognos, Jedox) is a plus.
">
* Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills.
">
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
">
* Previous experience in a shared service center or multinational environment is a plus.
