OVERVIEW
—
We are seeking a highly skilled Email Development & Operations specialist to join our EMEA marketing team supporting Google EMEA Ads Marketing Team.
This role will act as technical and operational lead for the deployment of all email communications across the region, ensuring excellence in setup, testing, deployment, and optimization within Google's internal email platform,
The EMEA Ads Marketing Team focuses on strategies and tactics to grow and retain Google Ads customers via regional campaigns and platforms, and across a variety of Google advertising products including Search, Display and YouTube solutions.
You'll play a pivotal role in translating marketing requirements into scalable, precise, and timely email executions, while driving innovation, automation, and workflow efficiency.
SCOPE AND DELIVERABLES

Platform Mastery & Technical Leadership
Responsible for full operational execution of email campaigns.
Lead on upfront setup, testing, and provisioning of email campaigns.
Partner with Google's engineering and analytics teams to ensure correct signal setup, tracking, and data flow.
Continuously explore and document automation and optimization opportunities, reducing manual effort and scaling email deployment processes.
Email Development & Deployment
Develop, QA, and deploy high-quality HTML email communications within platforms.
Work with pre-existing templates and build new ones aligned with Google brand guidelines and localization frameworks.
Ensure every email and version adheres to accessibility, responsive design, and testing standards.
Collaborate with designers to ensure HTML limitations and design feasibility are considered early in the process.
Manage audience integration, ensuring accurate segmentation, data usage, and privacy compliance for every send.
Audience Management & Data Integration
Partner with data analysts to ensure accurate audience targeting and data structure integrity.
Implement and validate audience rules within Gamma, ensuring correct deployment lists are used for each send.
Understand audience hierarchy and segmentation logic (e.G., role, region, opt-in preferences, event type).
Ensure scalability in handling multi-layered audience frameworks (e.G., practitioner, retailer, signed-up vs non-signed-up users).
Testing, Learning, and Optimization
Support Test & Learn strategies in partnership with strategy and analytics teams.
Participate in defining A/B testing frameworks, data validation, and reporting back learnings for future optimization.
Drive continuous improvement through insights into process efficiency, platform potential, and campaign performance.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with:
Google EMEA Marketing team (regional)
Data & Analytics agency (for signal tracking and data audience structures)
Internal Algomarketing strategy, operations, and creative teams.
Serve as a consultative partner, not just an executor—advising on technical feasibility, scalability, and innovation opportunities.
Contribute to workflow alignment between regional and global email operations, ensuring cohesion in design, branding, and cadence.
REQUIREMENTS
—
6+ years of experience in email development and operations within large-scale marketing organizations.
Background in email marketing, or marketing automation delivery.
Proven experience in email campaign development using HTML, CSS, and dynamic content logic.
Familiarity with enterprise-level email platforms and ability to adapt to and master new proprietary tools quickly (experience with Gamma or GNP advantageous).
Experience working with data integrations, including audience segmentation, personalization, and tagging frameworks.
Strong understanding of email QA processes, responsive frameworks, and deliverability considerations.
Strong understanding of audience targeting, segmentation, and data hygiene principles.
Ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose automation or workflow enhancements.
Skilled in testing methodologies, data validation, and process documentation.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Highly organized, comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
