The role
We're expanding our back-office team and looking for a full-time accountant based in Portugal to support our Swiss clients remotely. You'll join a close-knit, multi-country team and play a key role in delivering accounting services to Swiss SMEs — with Odoo as your main working environment.
What you'll do
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for Swiss client portfolios: general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close. Prepare financial statements under the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) and Swiss GAAP FER where applicable. Handle Swiss VAT declarations and ensure compliance with cantonal and federal requirements. Support payroll accounting entries, including reconciliation of social contributions (AVS/AI/APG, LPP, LAA). Assist with year-end closing and coordinate with external auditors. Produce clear management reports and dashboards for clients using Odoo. Collaborate with our consultants in Geneva, Martigny, Monthey, Mont-sur-Lausanne, and Roche.
What we're looking for
3–6 years of accounting experience, with hands-on exposure to Swiss accounting. Solid understanding of the Swiss Code of Obligations, Swiss VAT, and standard social insurance mechanisms. Experience with Odoo (strong plus) or willingness to become an Odoo power user — we'll support your ramp-up. Comfort with other Swiss tools (Bexio, Abacus, Sage) is appreciated. Fluent French will be a blast; English is a plus; German or Italian is a bonus. Based in Portugal with the legal right to work locally. Autonomous, detail-oriented, and comfortable working remotely across borders.
Nice to have
Prior experience in a fiduciary or serving Swiss clients from abroad. A professional accounting qualification (Portuguese TOC/CC, Swiss Brevet fédéral en finance et comptabilité, ACCA, or equivalent). Interest in process automation and digital tools.
