About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Operations Director to lead our supply chain network in Portugal. The successful candidate will oversee operational activities for third-party service centers, ensuring full compliance with company standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee operational activities for third-party service centers within a designated region, ensuring full compliance with company standards, SLAs, safety guidelines, and operational policies.
2. Build and maintain strategic relationships with third-party service providers, consulting with site leaders to address challenges and implement operational improvements, including preventative maintenance programs for both equipment and facilities.
3. Leverage data and operational systems to evaluate site performance, identifying opportunities for enhancements in safety, operational efficiency, and cost savings.
4. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing performance data and audit results, driving corrective actions, and implementing cost-reduction strategies to improve profitability and operational consistency.
5. Assist in developing action plans based on audit results and continuous improvement opportunities, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and the third-party network's operational objectives.
6. Serve as a peer leader, providing guidance and sharing best practices across the third-party representative network to promote operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and process consistency.
7. Standardize processes across the third-party network to ensure consistent service delivery, operational efficiency, and adherence to company-wide objectives.
8. Responsible for leading a successful supply chain network of subcontracted service centers, plants, on-site solutions, and outstores/hubs in Portugal.
9. Effectively deliver customer-perceived value and differentiation through a cost-efficient and sustainable supply chain.
10. Contact point for supply chain activities, both for external partners and internal stakeholders in supply chain and commercial business units.
11. Member of the Portugal Country Leadership Team.
12. Contribute directly to strategic and tactical projects, and support supplier procurement and transformation programs.
13. Report directly to the Director, Supply Chain, Iberia.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Logistics, or Technical Engineering.
* Continuous improvement/Lean Six Sigma certification.
* 5-8 years' management experience in Subcontractor management/Site management.
* Proven ability to lead and achieve results in multi-site environments.
* Negotiation skills in operations/transport with 3rd party service providers.
* Strong experience in Lean Six Sigma.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Able to work independently and lead remote teams.
* IT: Good working knowledge of Excel and SAP. Power BI an advantage.
