We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an international cross-functional team focused on building and evolving modern cloud-based data platforms.

Location: 100% Remote (minimum 6 hours overlap with CET)
For this opportunity, candidates must currently be based and living in Portugal.
What we're looking for:
Strong experience building scalable data platforms on Azure.
Hands-on experience with Databricks and PySpark in production environments.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly valued.
Solid understanding of CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
Experience developing and maintaining robust data pipelines.
Ability to communicate technical trade-offs and collaborate with architects and engineering teams.
Comfortable reviewing code and contributing to engineering best practices.
Strong communication skills and proactive mindset.
Nice to have:
Interest or exposure to Data Science and Machine Learning.
Familiarity with AI tools used in daily development workflows.
What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
- Improve and evolve cloud-based data platforms.
- Review code and support engineering quality standards.
- Write and maintain technical documentation.
- Help manage and reduce technical debt.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Scientists, Developers, and Product Owners.
- Contribute to platform scalability, reliability, and long-term evolution.
