We're supporting the creation of a brand-new tech hub in Lisbon for an international cloud services company.This is a North American-rooted project with a startup-like mindset, a collaborative environment, and the opportunity to grow something meaningful from the ground up. We're already starting to support this move, and positions are opening. This time, we're looking for an experienced Cloud/VMware Infrastructure Engineer to be part of this project before it has even started. What you'll be doing: Assist in maintaining and developing cloud environments for internal infrastructure and customers, including compute, storage, virtual networking, backups, and monitoring. Support VMware-based infrastructure tasks such as basic patching and troubleshooting. Help maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring updates and performance checks. Work with internal teams to implement solutions aligned with business needs. Assist in configuring monitoring and alerts for infrastructure components. Support security best practices and compliance efforts alongside specialized teams. Document procedures and processes for internal knowledge sharing. The profile we're looking for: Degree or technical course in IT (or equivalent experience). 1-2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or similar roles (internships or academic projects count!). Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMware or similar). Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems. Interest in learning about networking, security, and cloud environments. Intermediate English for communication with international teams. Motivation to grow and work on global projects. Nice to Have: Experience with backup tools (e.g., Veeam). Awareness of compliance standards (ISO *****, NIST). Basic knowledge of hardware and storage systems.
