Key Responsibilities

This position is a key member of the QA Management Department, reporting directly to the Head of the area.

Main duties and responsibilities:
">

1. Lead the Quality area in Production;
">
2. Manage the Quality Managers in Production, including recruitment, skills development, and performance monitoring;
">
3. Train and empower Quality Managers and Production staff on topics related to Quality and Food Safety;
">
4. Develop the training program and related content for Production, within the scope of Quality and Food Safety;
">
5. Ensure implementation of reference standards and the METRO Group Quality standard in Production;Implementation of food defense procedures in Production;Definition and implementation of food fraud procedures in Production;Execution of actions related to allergen management in Production;
">
6. Develop, maintain, and harmonize procedures and structure Quality controls in Production;
">
7. Monitor Quality and Food Safety indicators, analyzing trends;
">
8. Participate in new projects impacting Quality and Food Safety, ensuring planning and follow-up within the scope of responsibilities;
">
9. Update QC HACCP checklists according to changes in the Quality and Food Safety system, for all branches;
">
10. Ensure implementation and follow-up of corrective action plans in Production resulting from internal and external audits;
">
11. Conduct audits of Production service providers, animal producers, raw material, ingredient, and packaging suppliers;
">
12. Conduct internal audits of warehouse activities;
">
13. Prepare and implement analytical control and validation plans in Production;
">
14. Approve and monitor actions resulting from the implementation of analytical control and validation plans;
">
15. Coordinate recalls and withdrawals of own-brand products from Production, and conduct simulations;
">
16. Support internal audits, external audits, inspections, and visits, as requested by the Technical and Quality Management;
">
17. Collaborate with the Food Safety Team within the scope of responsibilities;
">
18. Replace Quality Managers during their absences;
">
19. Report and keep the Technical and Quality Management informed about Quality performance in Production and any anomalies within the scope of responsibilities;
">
20. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and commitment to Quality within the team.

About Qualifications
">
This role requires a degree in Food Engineering (preferred) or equivalent academic background. Applicants should have experience in quality management roles with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in the meat industry. Knowledge of ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 reference standards is essential, along with training in internal auditing. Fluency in English and computer literacy are also required.
