In the modeling and simulation group of the »Glass and Precision Manufacturing« department, we are looking for motivated student assistants involved in highly innovative research projects.
As a student assistant you support our team with FEM simulation and Python programming, allowing you to broaden your research experience besides your studies. Furthermore, you will collaborate with a highly experienced research team with interdisciplinary backgrounds.
Be part of change
* Support the team to improve the accuracy of the FEM simulation model
* Post-processing the simulation results in Python
* Programming, data analysis and visualization in Python
* Numerical modeling and programing for model optimization & machine-learning
What you contribute
* Studying Computational Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Simulation Sciences, or a comparable subject
* Advanced programming competence in Python is required and basic competence in Fortran is advantageous
* Basic Experience in FEM (Finite Element Method) simulation tools e.g., ABAQUS or ANSYS
* Good analytical skills and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary project work
* Initiative, excellent communication skills and a passion for teamwork
