Your new role
As an IT Project Manager - Payments, you will take ownership of strategic projects within the payments domain, acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders in Portugal and across international teams. This role combines the responsibilities of Project Manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Team Leader, requiring strong coordination and leadership skills. You will oversee the delivery of Android-based payment solutions, manage certification processes for new products, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Interaction with external management and cross-functional teams will be essential, making fluency in English a must.
Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end project management for payment solution initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.
* Act as Scrum Master and Product Owner, facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing product backlog.
* Coordinate technical teams and stakeholders across Portugal, Spain, and EMEA regions.
* Define operational requirements and collaborate with developers to implement solutions.
* Support automation and certification processes for Android-based payment products.
* Ensure effective communication and reporting to senior management.
What you'll need to succeed
* University degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Proven experience in Project Management within IT or payments environments.
* Knowledge of C++, C#, Linux, and Android; previous development experience is a plus.
* Familiarity with SQA practices is another plus.
* Background in banking, payment systems, or SIBS will be highly valued.
* Excellent command of English (mandatory); Spanish is a plus.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
