The Role
As a Head of Technology, you'll partner with leaders to prioritize, create and own roadmaps for Engineering teams across locations and time zones.
You'll drive a vision for your area of responsibility, promote openness and clear feedback, and help deliver high-quality, scalable software with a focus on Operational Excellence.
You will design and develop capabilities that address cross-vertical needs.
Delivery
What You'll Be Doing
Develop strategies with other heads to reduce bottlenecks and inefficiencies while promoting collaboration
Produce and deliver a strategic, technical vision, identify gaps in ownership and clarify who will own them
Define and deliver area strategy/vision for the next 2 years
Engage with colleagues inside and outside technology to deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives; manage dependencies and prioritise continuous improvement
Ensure effective operational support with Service Operations and customer support partners
People
Attract the best talent into the tribe
Ensure talent development, motivation, engagement, and performance management
Champion every success from the Tribe
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and evolve Agile/scrum delivery processes
Stability And Performance
Ensure performance and stability of components and systems
Liaise with partners and regulatory bodies to establish an effective release process
What You'll Bring
A proven track record building and delivering through teams collaboratively
Experience defining and executing a strategic vision in partnership with stakeholders
Focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder management
Experience defining and implementing software delivery best practices and agile methodologies with high delivery pace and quality
Experience delivering technology solutions for internal customer-facing products in a high-energy, ambiguous environment
Experience supporting production software with on-call responsibility and a focus on stability, availability and performance
Natural leader, strong team player, and effective communicator
Ability to engage non-technical audiences and collaborate with stakeholders on shared goals
Ability to adapt approach to achieve successful outcomes and lead through change
