Resident Medical Officer (RMO) - Rehabilitation
Ireland Community-Based Post-Acute Unit
We are seeking an experienced Resident Medical Officer to join a growing rehabilitation service supporting patients transitioning from acute hospitals.
This role involves providing medical cover for a 25-50-bed unit managing Level 2 and Level 3 rehabilitation patients, working closely with Nursing and the full multidisciplinary team, with weekly input from a Consultant Geriatrician.
Key Responsibilities
* Admission assessments and daily ward rounds
* Ongoing medical management and medication review
* IV therapies and minor procedures
* Liaison with GPs and MDT
* Discharge planning and documentation
* Managing clinical deterioration when required
Requirements
* Irish Medical Council registration (General or Specialist Register)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in Internal Medicine or Medicine for the Elderly
* Strong MDT and communication skills
* European passport or Stamp 4
Salary - 70K euros per year to work 38 hours per week.
