Research Opportunities
Robotics
Work description
* Development of mechanical solutions for real-time and in-situ water sampling and filtration for eDNA collection;
* These solutions are integrated within the scope of the NMicroARTIC, Bioprotect, NauAzul, and Plantastic research projects;
* Redesign and implementation of a mechanical and micro-hydraulic solution for the biosampler for submerged use, as well as consideration of its use in environments with extreme weather conditions, at great depths, and in situations of monitoring the biological impact of marine infrastructures such as offshore renewable energy production structures or aquaculture;
* In addition to the development of specific biosampling solutions in the marine environment, the work plan also includes aspects of their integration into different underwater robots;
* Testing and validation of the implemented solutions and monitoring of their implementation in the field, as well as the preparation of all associated documentation and user manuals;
* Active participation in the preparation of scientific publications and other related materials is also considered an integral part of the work to be carried out.
